Former resident of the original Ostgut (now known as Berghain), André Galluzzi joins us for a very special event playing a vinyl-only set from open to close. Additional residencies André has held include Tresor, Berlin (OFFICIAL) and Cocoon (Ibiza). His label, ARAS, begun with German producer and BROUQADE founder Dana Ruh, is a best-kept-secret among underground DJ's the world over. Our own Navbox plays first in keeping with the all-vinyl vibe. Philip Goyette is back in the bar, with ESL's Martin Miguel and Jandro of Blueprint. This event is free before 12AM w/ RSVP here.

In the early 90’s André became a regular in a few key clubs in the German techno scene. In 1994 he started to work for the renowned record distributor Neuton, where he met Paul Brtschitsch. In 1995, André and Paul founded the Taski label and shortly after receiving a residency in Berlin’s famous Tresor. André then decided to move to the German capital. During that time, he gained a new residency with Ostgut, the gay & lesbian club, which is now known as Berghain.
After Ostgut closed its doors in 2001, André created the legendary Mix Compilation ‘André Galluzzi: Im Garten’ and created a new party event called Submerge, which ran for two years. During this time André became well known for his long and captivating DJ sets which would often run past the ten hour mark. His skill, precision and flair behind the decks earned him regular appearances at Amnesia in Ibiza and eventually the newly opened Berghain in 2004. In 2005 he began a studio cooperation with Guido Schneider and as a result they released forward thinking releases for the likes of Cadenza, Cocoon & Highgrade.
In 2010 André began a new label called Aras. He created this label so new talents within the scene could release interesting and leftfield sounds that were considered to be a fresh alternative to allot of the general output of house and techno at the time. In 2010 André also completed his third official mix compilation, ‘Stadt Strand Fluss’ which was shortly followed by collaborative releases with Dana on Ostgut-Ton and Cocoon.
André has always had a strong affinity with vinyl and as the digital revolution started to take hold he defiantly started a new venture called ‘We Play Vinyl’ as a statement to keeping the culture alive. In 2013 the label & André moved to London. He started to work with new influences on several productions which eventually landed on Bar25 and his two previous home labels of Cadenza & Cocoon. These newly found influences and perspectives also contributed to the release of his debut in 2014.
