Ryan Elliott

“What matters most, above all else, is what comes through the speakers,” says Detroit's Ryan Elliott. “It must be the right track at the right time, delivered in the right way.” Nobody knows this better than Elliott, whose distinction as an internationally respected DJ and remixer has grown steadily over his decade-plus behind the decks. They don’t hand out a great reputation at the club door, and Elliott’s is well-earned and well-deserved. Ryan Elliott's early days included legendary residencies at Ann Arbor’s Goodnight Gracies and Detroit’s Shelter, which soon gave way to a rigorous international travel schedule. He began working crowds at clubs and festivals around the world, from NYC’s Guggenheim Museum to Barcelona’s Sonar by Night, and tailoring his approach to each show with a meticulous ear and a bottomless record collection. Influenced by his hometown staples (Axis, Purpose Maker, M Plant, and UR) along with international labels like Perlon, Playhouse, and early Kompakt, Ryan inhabits his kick drums, becoming an extension of the music and vice versa. 2009 saw Elliott relocating to Berlin to further his focus on DJing, production, and helming Spectral Sound’s growing roster from a newly international perspective. “Berlin and Detroit may not look the same, but they feel the same,” he says. “The connection isn't just in the music, but also in both cities rough edges and honest hearts.” Ryan Elliot's sound remains unchanged: bassline-driven techno and house reduced to their essence, thoughtfully calibrated to drive crowds out of their minds. The time is right, the tracks are right, and Ryan Elliott is exactly where he needs to be.

Julia Govor

website | soundcloud | facebook

Julia Govor was born to move people. She made her debut performing in a small military town in Abkhazia, which led to her becoming the cassette-DJ at the town's nightclub. Every Saturday, the ever-diligent Julia was on stage performing new songs by Russian singers or songs written by her oldest sister, Galina. Soon thereafter, she became the lead singer in the locally-famous military band called Moryachka. Still sharpening her mixing skills, she began using Paul White's elegant silver Tascam to play pop songs by Sandra, Mr. President, 20 Fingers and other 90's pop divas. The big payback: In 2000 she moved to Temruk in South Russia where she became a bona fide DJ, playing CDs and mixing on a Vestax PMC01A. Then the big city came calling. In 2004, she eventually moved to Moscow to study film and TV Production. This is when her vocational arc as an all-round entertainment maven began to fully take flight. She became an on-air personality for Miller TV and MTV and went on to interview some of the industry's most prolific players such as Ricardo Villalobos and Richie Hawtin. In 2010, the petite and vivacious Russian lady with a knack for telling hypnotic stories got back to what she does best: DJing. She lent her talents to the legendary Moscow underground club Arma17 for several years. During this period Julia could also be found making impactive appearances at Movement in Detroit, Kazantip in Ukraine, WMC in Miami, ADE in Amsterdam and Sonar Off in Barcelona. Fast forward a few years, Julia has clearly been deeply inspired by the techno artists she's been playing with and begins to produce herself. She honed a sound which boasts distinctly resonant frequencies alongside uncommon melodies and subsequently had tracks snapped up by Visionquest, Get Physical, Highway Records, Hypertone and Superfreq. A relocation to New York has seen Julia perform alongside the likes of Jeff Mills, Richie Hawtin and Sven Vath at Output, Verboten, Space, Time Warp, Awakenings and Electric Zoo. 2016 has seen her gain the support of Pete Tong with releases coming on Cocoon and Russian vinyl only imprint Body Parts / Mind Series. At the core of Julia's music and live shows is an ever-present element of emotional truth and a quest to redefine her audience’s relationship with beat. Simply put, she firmly believes in churning out sexy techno grooves with dramatic expressions and select layers of sound. Not to forget the boundless charm and ambrosial melodies. That is, in a nutshell Julia Govor.

Oliver Caine

Born and raised in Washington, DC, Oliver Caine found a passion for music at a very early age. Eventually saving up enough for a bass guitar at age sixteen, and later on the drums, Oliver was soon playing in bands in the D.C. and Virginia area. It wasn't until 1999 that he fell in love with electronic music and never looked back. By 2003 he had purchased turntables, practiced relentlessly, and began to play out at various venues in the D.C./VA area. After moving to South Beach in 2004 and gaining exposure to Miami's underground Dirty House and Tech scene, Oliver soon began spinning at numerous clubs and afterparties in Miami, VA, and D.C., perfecting his signature blend of dark, underground, House and Techno. Today, Oliver Caine resides in Virginia, and is a regular in the D.C. and NYC club circuits. He continues to perform across the United States and abroad. With notable gigs and stellar performances at Coco Maya during the BPM festival in Playa Del Carmen, Mexico; and in Detroit during the famed DEMF(Movement) festival. Oliver’s momentum and fan base continues to grow while playing alongside such greats as Chris Liebing, Joseph Capriati, Victor Calderone, Paco Osuna, Carlo Lio, Pan-Pot, Marc Houle, Sian, Timo Maas, Steve Rachmad, Adam X, and countless others. Oliver Caine has definitely played an integral role towards curating, crafting, and promoting the underground music scene as a whole. Always adapting to his environment and the mood of the party, Oliver is comfortable spinning deep and minimal sounds in small lounges, or banging out big room Techno in the largest super-clubs. Connie

website | soundcloud | facebook

Connie Yin has been a major contributor to New York City’s underground electronic scene for over a decade. With a deep fluid mix of forward thinking 4/4 styles and a defined rhythmic sensibility that flows from her alter ego as a thumping rock drummer, Connie is a steady crowd favorite and an accomplished pro who always brings the goods. Whether it is as resident DJ for ReSolute, one of world’s hottest itinerant underground parties, or on the road touring from Brazil to Dubai, Connie’s innate aptitude and vigorous devotion to her craft have earned her turns alongside a litany of techno’s best, whom she frequently, but humbly outshines. Some of Connie’s highlights have been: winning first place in the Village Voice ‘Spinoff Contest’, which landed her a spot at Ultrafest, two appearances at WMC’s infamous Made Events’ Sunday School For Degenerates, an appearance at Canada’s biggest techno party Piknic Electronik, Time Warp in NYC, and most recently at Jamie Jone’s Paradise in NYC. Determinedly, Connie uses her own success to inspire other women to enter the male-dominated world of DJing. To date she has privately trained 15 students. In 2009, Connie’s first productions, under the name ‘Constar,’ debuted on the Boston-based Airdrop imprint followed by a dozen more releases, including her October 2014 release, “Finding Yusef” on Jyre Records, which was chosen by John Digweed to be included in his four-CD and vinyl compilation on Bedrock Records, released in December 2014. Her most recent release under ‘Connie Yin,’ is a 3-track album, “One Heart”, out on 3Bridge Records, a collaboration with Romanian spoken word artist, Nora Nostrand. Connie also spends a lot of her time in the studio on a myriad of other music projects including producing dark wave with her band Jilted Lover, and making music videos, her newfound passion. Connie also enjoys romantic strolls on the beach, candlelit dinners, and cuddling.
