Completing the tri-fecta of Hessle Audio appearances at Flash is Pearson Sound. Formerly known as Ramadanman, Pearson Sound deftly blends all genres found on the electronic spectrum forging a visceral groove that hangs in the air. Recently, Pearson Sound has taken to self-releasing uniquely textured dance floor destroyers ("Thaw Cycle," "XLB") in addition to his debut LP on Hessle Audio, which was met with universal acclaim. Pearson Sound is perhaps best known for his role as one of three managers behind Hessle Audio (in addition to Ben UFO and Pangaea), the seminal British label integral to the definition of UK dance culture following the global movement away from dubstep. Lenny Posso is the Berlin-based head of Thema Recordings which is now in its tenth year and has featured such artists as Mr. G, Heiko Laux, Terrence Dixon and Christopher Rau among others. Lenny Posso is a master of the techno spectrum, from minimal to hardcore and back. Walking Hardwax description and international Facebook Event expert, Tsurugi does the opening honors.
FUTURE TIMES honchos Beautiful Swimmers hawk their exquisitely funky brand of dance in the Green Room all night. PHILCO invites Love Notes From Brooklyn's Tape Hiss to join him and Rush Plus in the bar.
As one third of the team behind the Hessle Audio label, David Kennedy’s Pearson Sound moniker has become synonymous with cutting edge UK dancefloor music. Having stripped back his release schedule , somewhat defiantly hitting out with just a couple of self-released singles that hinted at a more vivid approach to his production this year, he’s truly taken his DJing global with his performances reaching as far afield as Asia, South America and Australia. Having lectured at the Red Bull Music Academy in Madrid, released a critically heralded FABRICLIVE compilation and remixed artists like Radiohead, The xx and M.I.A., Kennedy’s also found the time to run the vinyl only club night, Acetate, in Leeds and help ensure that Hessle Audio’s weekly radio show on London’s Rinse FM maintains its role as an essential part of the station’s broadcasting schedule. Future Times' DC duo Ari and Andrew, p.k.a. Beautiful Swimmers, takes over the roof all night.
