Named by Boiler Room as one of Berlin’s best-kept secrets, Jamaica Suk has has been on the forefront of breaking through the global techno scene. DJ-ing and producing for over a decade, she has found rising prominence for her unique brand of seamless mixing and driving, psychedelic-meets-gritty techno.

Jamaica’s work has always been built on deep sonic exploration, a passionate connection to the scene and discipline. Hailing from San Francisco and based in Berlin, she quickly became a fixture of the German capital’s scene as well as building a vast network of underground communities across Europe and internationally. She's centered her craft in the studio and behind the decks on the art of contrast - grimy industrial edge with meditative, consciousness-expanding dream worlds with no-holds-barred runaway energy. Jamaica’s voice always finds a timeless balance between the rawness of 90's techno traditions and boundary-pushing modern techniques.

Her critically-acclaimed label Gradient has been a platform for her own finely-tuned productions including releasing a 17-track quadruple-vinyl release, “Uncertain Landscape.”
Hiding somewhere beneath the shadows and neon lights of Angel City is the elusive protagonist, Mesmé. A lover of the gramophone, dusty books, rare art, and intricate musical machines, little else is known about our young heroine other than her vast collection of records and her affiliation with several high-profile underground organizations.

Steel City Dance Discs and Into The Woods both call her one of their own, and rumor has it she is the operative behind the mysterious sonic broadcast code named MISE EN SCÈNE, which fires from the headquarters of Angel City’s Dub Laboratory every third Saturday night of the month, causing involuntary movement amongst the population.

Sightings include a selection of the city’s record stores, libraries, and speakeasies, and she has reportedly been seen entering and leaving pitch-black warehouses past midnight with a large, black leather suitcase. Little is known about her origins, but word has it that she escaped a religious coven and sought refuge in an unknown Asian state, before finding her true home in the dazzling metropolis of Angel City.
