Laurel Halo is a composer, producer, musician and DJ, born in Detroit and currently based in Los Angeles. Drawing from a range of music lineages, her considered approach has enabled her to maintain a signature aesthetic across a stylistically diverse output, traversing pop, ambient, leftfield club, experimental electronica and film score. Since 2012 she has released a number of albums ranging in genre-fluidity, complexity and scope, including Quarantine (2012, Hyperdub), In Situ (2015, Honest Jon's), Raw Silk Uncut Wood (2018, Latency), and Possessed: OST (2020, Vinyl Factory). She has performed in venues, festivals, clubs and institutions across the world, including the Southbank Centre, Sydney Opera House, The Kitchen, Kölner Philharmonie, CTM/Transmediale, Sónar, and Montreux Jazz Festival, among others. She has collaborated with artists and designers including Moritz von Oswald, Metahaven, Kevin Beasley, Julia Holter, Hanne Lippard, Eckhaus Latta, John Cale, and the London Contemporary Orchestra. In July 2023 she announced the launch of her new imprint, Awe, with her latest album, Atlas.
 

A sought-after selection as well as a relentless technique have brought this DJ to rub shoulders with the most renowned French and European dancefloors. A real record collector, eager for nuggets, his culture allows him to bring to each of his performances a singular energy and osmosis. Bassam is none other than the boss of Distrikt Paris and to crown it all, this passionate and hyperactive man is the co-founder, with his partner in crime Antoine Sy of the label ANTAM Records on which each release is scrupulously awaited by the whole scene. Always on the lookout for new sounds, Bassam is also a fine producer who has been carefully developing his ranges over the last few years. After having recorded some remarkable tracks, he is preparing to release his first album in 2023, very representative of his universe in its entirety.
